‘Inspirational’ training for care and education services

I specialise in helping families and people working in care and education settings to understand and meet the social needs of people living with autism, dementia, learning disabilities and mental health problems. I achieve this by offering public training events and developing communities of practice around the socially inclusive approaches of Intensive Interaction, Musical Interaction and Rapport-based Communication. I have collaborated with many schools and care settings around the UK to implement sustainable change and practice development and I am recognised for a fresh, enjoyable and thought provoking approach.

“Thank you for a truly inspirational day. The content was relevant for everyone despite the group having varying levels of experience of Intensive Interaction, with some having practiced for over 20 years and some who were new to it. The session on understanding needs behind behaviour helped the staff to reflect on and rethink how they support the children and was inline with our current development strategy. It’s rare that everyone reacts so positively to a training session… everyone was buzzing and couldnt wait to get into class the next to to put what they learnt into practice. We’ll definitely all be looking for offers!”
