A recording of the course will be available for everyone who books a place. So you can still enjoy and learn the practice if you can’t make it to the live event.
This session will introduce the practice of Self-Determination theory, a straightforward and powerful theory of wellbeing that suggest that all human beings share three fundamental psychological needs. The session offers delegates an opportunity to reflect on situations when they have experienced low wellbeing and use group reflective practice to understand how these three needs were a root cause. The session then supports delegates to devise concrete achievable strategies to support the meeting of these needs in their workplace context, creating a work culture that is more supportive of the needs of staff.
In this session, we will explore:
The three needs of self-determination theory
Situations at work in which these needs are unmet
New strategies to directly meet needs and foster wellbeing
